The Men Facial is a Deep Cleansing Facial specifically tailored to the characteristics of male skin. Male skin is on average 20 to 25 percent thicker, more sebaceous and rougher in texture due to testosterone production and frequent shaving irritations. Our skin therapist uses a protocol with more powerful cleansing and deep pore cleansing, combined with anti-irritation treatment for shaving damage. The result is a thoroughly cleansed, calibrated skin that does not feel dried out.

The Men Facial is broadly applicable and effective for enlarged pores and blackheads, shaving irritations and ingrown hairs, acne and oily skin, dull or uneven complexion, dry or tight skin after frequent shaving, and the first signs of ageing such as fine lines. Our skin therapist analyses your skin during the intake and adapts the treatment protocol to your specific skin profile.

For maintaining a healthy complexion our skin therapists recommend 1 session every 4 to 6 weeks. Do you have specific skin concerns such as persistent acne or very congested pores? We then start with a more frequent course of 4 to 6 treatments before switching to monthly maintenance. After 2 to 3 sessions you will already notice a structural difference in the condition of your skin.

The Men Facial is generally well-tolerated. During deep pore cleansing and blackhead removal you may feel a light pressure or pinching sensation, but this is brief. Around the beard and in shaving zones (chin, jaw line, neck) the skin may be somewhat more sensitive. Our skin therapist always works carefully and adjusts the pressure to your skin tolerance.

Most men can resume their day immediately after treatment. Directly after the session the skin may be slightly redder, especially on the zones where pores were cleansed. This usually subsides within 1 to 2 hours. We recommend avoiding shaving on the day of treatment or at least 12 hours after. Our skin therapist closes the session with a soothing mask and suitable day cream.

Directly after the first treatment your skin feels cleaner, smoother and healthier. Visible improvement of pores and impurities becomes clearer after 2 to 3 sessions. For structural improvement of acne scars or very oily skin, 4 to 6 sessions are needed. Clients report after a full course that shaving feels more comfortable and that blackheads and spots have noticeably reduced.

We recommend not shaving on the day of treatment and waiting at least 12 hours. The skin is temporarily slightly more sensitive directly after deep cleansing, and shaving can cause irritation. If you must shave, use an alcohol-free shaving foam or gel, a sharp razor and afterwards a non-alcoholic aftershave or soothing cream. Our skin therapist will give you specific advice after the treatment.

Yes, the Men Facial is suitable year-round, including summer. There is no increased UV sensitivity after the treatment. Our skin therapist always recommends a daily SPF as part of your skincare routine, even outside a treatment programme. Directly after the session a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher is required.

After the treatment our skin therapist recommends a simple but effective home routine: a gentle cleanser, a light moisturiser and a daily SPF. Depending on your skin profile, an exfoliant (2 to 3 times per week) or a serum may also be recommended. Professional skincare products recommended by our skin therapists are available in the clinic or through our online shop.

The Men Deep Cleansing Facial lasts 30 minutes and costs 85 euros. This is a complete treatment including intake, deep cleansing, mask and aftercare advice from our skin therapist.
